I'm a retired junior high teacher who was in the closet for 35 years but am completely out now. I love to read, watch tv, go to musicals or movies, eat in good restaurants, tutor English as a Second Language to adults (no charge). I also like to travel. Since retiring I've been to China, South Africa, Egypt, Eastern Europe, and Mexico. A gay traveling companion would be wonderful! I also play bridge with friends.

Going out to dinner, not too fancy, going to a funny movie, stopping at a gay bar for one drink, and then see what happens from there. I don't like to play games or deal with a pseudo-intellectual but there should be plenty of sharing of travel experiences, talking about careers, discussing shared interests in politics, the world situation, books or movies. If you're a fanatic about something, don't be pushy about it although enthusiasm is fine.

If we mutually decide to become intimate on the first date, that's fine, but it isn't a requirement -- just a spark, a goodnight kiss, and an expressed desire to have a second date.

I'm looking for someone who likes older men, who's slim and in shape, who's friendly and has a good sense of humor, who's intelligent and knowledgeable about many things but admits to areas he doesn't understand but may be willing to learn about, who's liberal but can listen to other viewpoints without getting angry. Almost everyone is liberal on some issues and moderate or even conservative on others.
