hello I am a 66yr old gay man who is living in a 400sq ft cottage with my Husband and our dog who we rescued from a life of being chained to a tree! He had chain marks embedded in his neck and rust stains that took over 5 baths to get out (he now hates a bath so bad that even with me sitting in the tub and my legs around him he is trying his best to get out of the tub. while I'm giving him his bath the time that he is not struggling to get out he shivers. When we got him 2 weeks after we had seen his picture he didn't know how to be a puppy.If you'd throw a ball in the yard he would look at the ball and back at me with and expression on his face like "why did you just throw away a perfectly good ball?" H won't chase the ball, he doesn't blay with anything at all. We did find a toy snake that had 6 sections and each section had a squeaky in it. He chewed it in ½ and it no longer squeaks but he will still play with it if I'm holding the other end. I have no idea what we're going to do when he chews it up. He is now over 4 years old and during the time that we have had him I have managed to train him to be my support dog.vWe call him Dobby after the house elf in Harry Potter who was freed from his "house" by his master accidently when he was given a sick. So like Dobby in the books we liberated our Dobby from a life of being chained to a tree. He's a pitbull terrier mix and has to sleep in bed with us. He literally has to be touching both of us before he can sleep. We don't have much but Dobby shares everything with us and we share everything we have with him. We might not have much but at least we have each other.🤔🤣🤩😍🍪
